CPD: Boys Impact in Art
We are opening up our ‘Boys Impact in Art’ CPD workshops to those outside of the programme so that we can share learning and expertise and grow a network of art educators who are keen to lead change in their classrooms that supports boys and young men to thrive. This learning can also be extended to all children and young people, with the aim of developing a positive and supportive, creative eco-system in all schools.
The workshops are free and open to primary, secondary, FE and HE teachers of art.
Contemporary Art Practices and Classrooms as Creative Learning Environments

- Brief introduction to the Boys Impact national movement and local art projects.
- Tours of contemporary exhibitions Break the Mould and UPRIGHT.
- Practical art making sessions inspired by the exhibitions.
- Time to share ideas and connect with local art teachers.
Capturing Place and Fostering a Sense of Belonging
Date: Saturday 16th May
Time: 10-2pm
Venue: Wolverhampton School of Art
- Update on the Boys Impact national movement and local art projects.
- Photography walking tour led by Tom Hicks AKA Black Country Type.
- Practical art making expanding on the morning’s photography walk.
- Time to share ideas and connect with local art teachers.
