If you have submitted your Statement of Commitment and are thinking about how to promote and publicise arts activities within your school then this session is for you.
The purpose of this session is to;
- Learn how to write effective copy which will be appealing to local news outlets.
- Learn how to identify key advocates within their locality (e.g. Mayor or Councillor) and to highlight your achievements through taking part in Artsmark.
- Encourage you to start thinking about wider potential partners (such as local businesses) and strategic stakeholders (Governors, Bridge Orgs., ACE)
- How to make effective use of social media.
You should bring along a copy of your Statement of Commitment, School Improvement Plan, Self-assessment Tool, the Quality Principles document and any evaluation tools you already use.
There will be opportunities to hear other schools’ stories and discover how they are approaching this part of the Artsmark journey.
If you would like to go to a pr and marketing session, but cannot get to Birmingham, please contact helen.frost@wlv.ac.uk for further options.
