SpeakUP! – Youth Voice and Leadership, is a day of creative workshopping activities for up to 85 young people aged 9-25yrs from across the West Midlands, that will help to inform and shape the development of arts and cultural opportunities in the West Midlands.
We are inviting young people who have taken part in a variety Arts Connect programmes to SpeakUP! so that we can better understand their experiences, needs and future ambitions for arts and culture provision aimed for, by and with children and young people (0-25 years).
We aim to use our findings to inform and shape both the work of Arts Connect and support our place-based Cultural Education Partnerships in the West Midlands.
The SpeakUP! event will take place live at Midlands Arts Centre on 10th November 2022 (10.00am-3.00pm)
It will be attended by approximately 85 young people (approx. 6 per LCEP area) and supporting staff (approx. 2 per LCEP area) a maximum total of participants of 104.
In addition, we will be supported by a team of staff engaged in talks and workshop delivery and event support.
Opportunity: Each Creative Facilitator will be expected to lead delivery on 3 x SpeakUP! Creative Workshops on the 10th of November 2022, for delegates at the SpeakUP! event, within the budget and timeframe
