Let’s Craft

The programme

This programme was run by the Craft Council and sponsored by Hobbycraft who provided packs of craft materials to gift to families that might not be able to afford them and that will support children to be creative.

We were delighted to be one of 10 partners from across the country to distribute over 15,000 packs nationally. We worked with the Family Hubs in the Black Country to gift 1,500 packs to families and children this year and run artist workshops to explore the creative possibilities of the materials.

 The programme began during the lockdowns in 2020 when Arts Council England, The Art Fund and The Crafts Council supported the then ten Bridge organisations in England to distribute arts and crafts packs for children and young people impacted by the lockdown. We distributed over 5,000 of these packs to Children in Care, nursery aged children and community arts organisations across the region. The programme ended in summer 2025.
