‘Breaking Boundaries – Anything is Possible!’
Exploring diversity, role models, tolerance, respect and acceptance of differences through dance and movement.
We want to explore these themes in an exciting and innovative way through working with artists from a dance background, and ideally exploring how dance and movement can be enhanced through digital, 3D or visual art forms. We are looking for artist/s or an arts organisation to work with ten primary schools and one secondary school across Birmingham and Wolverhampton, Walsall and Staffordshire, all members of The University of Wolverhampton Multi Academy Trust (UWMAT). The Artist/Arts Organisation will deliver a programme of high-quality dance experiences leading to a final Celebration Event where all children and staff involved can share and celebrate their work in a creative way. We are keen that through this experience children and staff will explore approaches that develop skills and understanding in dance and ideally also explore and experiment with approaches to using digital or 3D/visual art practice that enhances the dance/movement. We are open to creative proposals covering different approaches.
