CPD-Developing the role of the Primary Arts Coordinator

Cost: £50 (inclusive of lunch and afternoon tea)

Birmingham Education Partnership and Arts Connect are delivering a workshop for Primary Teachers, which explores the role of the Primary Arts Coordinator and how it can strengthen Arts Provision, whilst also supporting school improvement.

 

The workshop will include: how can you develop the Role of Primary Arts Lead/Coordinator; the implications of the new Ofsted framework; auditing provision; planning for progression; developing a strategy; commissioning Artists; CPD in the Arts; ways to track pupils’ skill progressions in the Arts.

We will also be looking at how Artsmark and Arts Award can be used to maximum effect to further strengthen a school’s Arts and Cultural provision and Cultural Capital.

The session will be led by BEP and Arts Connect with key workshop sessions delivered by Birmingham Primary Teachers who are lead Arts Coordinators.  The day will provide practical action planning and an opportunity to share issues and solutions with colleagues.
