The purpose of the Youth Ambassador role is to establish new connections and engagement with young people not previously involved in dance; support DDLG to represent a wider range of dance styles / forms and cultural backgrounds; and to ensure that young people are at the heart of everything DDLG does.
This role offers an unprecedented opportunity to gain a ‘bird’s eye’ overview of the region-wide dance community and develop unprecedented industry insights and contacts. You will be supported to develop an ambitious and achievable action plan for connecting with young people not currently involved in dance and to build relationships across dance forms. You will also take part in DDLG network meetings, a programme of skills sharing and professional development workshops and contribute to your nearest sub-regional network meetings.
