Arts Connect and Birmingham Arts School (as part of Birmingham Creates) are delivering a workshop for Primary Teachers to explore the role of the Primary Arts Coordinator and how to strengthen provision across the arts to support school improvement.

The workshop will include: How to develop the role of arts lead/coordinator; auditing of provision; planning for progression; developing a strategy; implications of the Ofsted Framework, and commissioning artists.

We will also be looking at how Artsmark, Arts Award and Cultural Capital can be used to maximum effect to strengthen a school’s arts and cultural provision.

The session will provide practical action planning and an opportunity to share issues and solutions with colleagues, as well as have examples of good practice from an experienced Primary Arts Coordinator.
