FREE Teacher CPD – ‘Mindful Creativity’ – Using creativity to support young people’s mental health

Black Country Teacher Network and teachers in the West Midlands Arts and cultural opportunities 2020-21 for teachers in the Black Country, and the West Midlands

A virtual meeting exploring peer led mental health work and creativity sessions for young people focusing on mental and emotional wellbeing. Focusing on young people aged 14-25 years. 

The session will include:

Opportunities to meet creative educators, and cultural organisations including Wolverhampton Cultural Education Partnership, New Art Gallery Walsall, Beatsabar, RAG arts and Arts Connect

Beatsabar Music Project – SNAIL which is a FREE Music Project that has been running via zoom during the pandemic for young people aged 12-18. It is called the SNAIL project because it is for any young person who is going through stress, neglect, anxiety, insecurities and loneliness (SNAIL) during the pandemic. New Art Gallery Walsall ‘Mindful Marks’ new project for Secondary Schools at NAGW- Wellbeing Workshops – ‘Mindful Marks’: Designed to support good mental health, these gallery-based workshops reduce stress and promote calm with guided looking, explore emotions and positive-thinking using artworks as stimuli, and foster individual expression through mark-making.
