Young man attaches to the wall an art work showing the stages of wrapping a turban

To recognise and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Blk Art Group, Arts Connect want to collaborate with 4 art teachers from the Black Country who are interested in exploring the Blk Art Group & British Black Art Movement in their teaching and who would like to develop activities and resources that will inspire students and support teachers to expand and diversify their art curriculum.

We want to work with local teachers to enable children and young people to experience different creative role models and work towards building a greater understanding of social and cultural themes that underpin the British Black Art Movement.

Lead Teacher schools will receive a £200 ‘amplifying’ fund to support planning and development of learning opportunities and resources.

To express your interest in becoming a member of the Lead Teacher Group please click here to download further information and apply by Wednesday 14th December 2022.

If you have any questions or want to chat through the Lead Teacher Group, please email Becky Thompson.
