To recognise and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Blk Art Group, Arts Connect want to collaborate with 4 art teachers from the Black Country who are interested in exploring the Blk Art Group & British Black Art Movement in their teaching and who would like to develop activities and resources that will inspire students and support teachers to expand and diversify their art curriculum.
We want to work with local teachers to enable children and young people to experience different creative role models and work towards building a greater understanding of social and cultural themes that underpin the British Black Art Movement.
Lead Teacher schools will receive a £200 ‘amplifying’ fund to support planning and development of learning opportunities and resources.
