Call for proposals to provide Arts Connect and the arts and cultural sector in the West Midlands region with a Film and Digital Media Development Programme that supports the arts and cultural sector in their work with children and young people.

What are we looking for?
We will commission a supplier who can provide high quality, creatively ambitious film and digital media knowledge and expertise that will inform the development of a support programme for arts and cultural sector learning and engagement professionals that includes the following key elements:

One third of your time

  • Film Network To support and develop the current Arts Connect Film Network as a leadership group for film makers and promoters in the West Midlands whose work engages children and young people.
  • To plan and organise quarterly meetings and to disseminate information and build on partnership working with the film sector throughout the year.

Two thirds of your time

  • Digital Programme – To lead and support the arts and cultural organisations in developing their work with digital media through one to one consultations and through planning and organising seminars and events to showcase good practice and to provide a platform for the arts and cultural sector to network and build partnerships.
  • Evaluation- To measure the impact of the film and digital media programme and to provide regular reports on the outcomes achieved.

The supplier will be creatively ambitious for their work and comfortable in a leadership role. They will have good communications skills and experience of working in and developing partnerships. They will be able to demonstrate a track record of leading digital development in the sector and successful delivery of support programmes for those with limited knowledge of film and digital media and for those with in depth knowledge and experience.

What will Arts Connect provide?

Arts Connect will support the design and delivery of the programme to ensure it meets the needs of the arts and cultural sector. We will manage the practical and communication needs of participants to seminars and events. We will book all venues and catering requirements.

Timescale

Deadline for proposals: 2 March 2020
Contract start date: 14 April 2020
Completion by: 31 March 2021

Reporting and management

Susan Goodwin, Associate Director Cultural Sector Partnerships, will manage the commission.

Please note that the University of Wolverhampton is required to make a decision about how the preferred supplier will be paid and if the supplier is deemed to be in scope for IR35, PAYE will be deducted at source from invoices before payment.
