We are looking for someone with some marketing experience (this doesn’t have to have be in paid employment) who wants to build on their current knowledge, who is genuinely excited by all things MARCOMMS and can’t wait to become a key part of our friendly team. We work across the West Midlands, connecting and supporting communities and enabling children and young people (from 0-25) to enjoy a rich and meaningful arts and cultural life. As our Communications and Marketing Assistant we want you to hit the ground running, using your existing skills, experience and creativity to support and excite us and our audiences with all things COMMS…We especially want your imaginative take on our social and digital media.
You will assist the Communications and Marketing Manager and the wider Arts Connect team in promoting all aspects of Arts Connect’s programmes, this includes creating and editing content for our website, enewsletter and social media platforms; designing in-house materials for our programmes; assisting in social media campaign planning and scheduling and working with a wide range of people across the West Midlands. Additional opportunities include, representing Arts Connect at (currently remote) events and assisting with event management.
We expect you to use your initiative and we welcome new ideas and new approaches to our current digital offer.
You must be proactive and able to work well independently as this role will initially be working remotely. You must be highly organised and reliable, with a high standard of literacy. You need to be numerate with well-developed IT skills. You will need to be an excellent and passionate communicator with a genuine interest in the arts and education sectors.
You will be supported throughout your role and job appropriate training will be offered.
