Birmingham Education Partnership are looking for a Programme Manager: Birmingham Arts School / Birmingham Creates. This role supports programme management for both the newly created Birmingham Arts School offer and the Local Cultural Education Partnership, Birmingham Creates.
Closing date for applications: Friday 30th July 2021
Salary: £30,000 FTE
Contract Type: This is a fixed term contract for 3 years. Part time- 4 days per week
The chance to establish and contribute to the inception of a new project is special, but when that project involves working right across a city, combining two discrete sectors with deep moral purpose, and has the chance to be nationally and internationally ground-breaking, the opportunity is remarkable.
Our aim is for an exemplary arts and cultural education for every child in the city. The Birmingham Arts School is a new initiative that carries the ambition of supporting school improvement, building cultural capital in schools and unlocking the collective potential of the city’s outstanding arts and cultural organisations as partners. Our focus is working with communities with the highest levels of need and challenging the inequality of opportunity faced by too many children. This part of the role (c.3 days per week) is to work with the Birmingham Arts School Principal, to establish the operations, build the programme delivery and support the communications and relationship building.
The second part of the role (c. 1 day per week) is to apply the same skills to growing the Local Cultural Education Partnership (LCEP) called Birmingham Creates of which Birmingham Education Partnership is a member.
The initial three-year funding for Birmingham Arts School and Birmingham Creates is supported by the Esme Fairbairn Foundation and Arts Connect, through Partnership Investment.
