Commission £20,000 for artists/arts organisation to work with the ‘Living Arts’ Arts Ambassador School Network
We are looking for artist/s or an arts organisation to work with the Living Arts network of 6 schools: the lead school is John Henry Newman Catholic College (JHNCC) with a network of five Catholic Primary Schools in Birmingham and Solihull. This commission is to deliver a programme of high-quality arts experiences in Dance and Music based around the themes of Individuality and Identity to provide opportunities for all pupils and staff to: help students find their ‘Definite Purpose’; reflect on spiritual and moral issues; experience a sense of belonging and develop a sense of community; respond to and celebrate life; develop a common ethos and shared values
The art forms are Dance and Music, with the idea that digital images could be collected to form part of the final performances, all of which will come out of the themes. Our showcase event will be held at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham on 11th July 2019.
