No experience is needed; it will be fun, practical and open to all abilities.
30 places are available on a first-come-first-served basis for £30 each (includes lunch and refreshments)
Claire Witcomb
The seminar includes a workshop with leading artist practitioner and pedagogista Claire Witcomb. Claire was part of the Moonbeams programme and has been the Artist Pedogogista at Bloomsbury Nursery, in Birmingham for over 10 years. She is an artist, maker, collaborator, provocateur and adventurously enthusiastic natural playspace maker:
‘I work in ‘early years’, galleries, theatres, education and the public realm. I follow ideas and like to experiment, research and explore the world. Although I began as a sculptor I work in lots of different guises: I’ve facilitated workshops, led interventions, created public art, collaborated with artists, dancers, architects, writers, musicians. It’s hard to define what I do, but I like it that way. I suppose if you needed to pin me down, I’d say I’m inspired by ideas. I like to work with others to innovate and invent. I work a lot in the early years as a provocateur and I’m passionate about working in and with communities, with people of all ages, to make a creative landscape accessible to all.’
