Programme Coordinator for: Training programmes for Young Artists (18-30 years) to work with Children & Young People

 

Fee up to: £8,000 (+ VAT if applicable)

Timeframe: December 2022 to March 2023

Call for quotations from: Organisations/Individuals with experience of developing, managing and supporting the delivery of a Training and Mentoring programme for young people 18-30, on working in arts and culture and with children and young people (aged 0-25 years). This will include:

  • A 9-day Training course, including placements in different settings (eg schools – primary, secondary, special; nursery and early years settings; community settings) as well as in-person training sessions with experienced professionals, and a planning day
  • A 5-day Mentoring Assistant Artist programme attached to a professional artist on placement in settings
  • A one-day Course on working with children & young people with challenging behaviours and/or mental health issues, as well as how do you look after your own well-being in these situations
  • Three in-person network meetings for young artists (18-30 years) to exchange practice and also to network with professional organisations and experienced freelance artists
  • One on-line network meeting for young people aged 18-30 to exchange practice and meet experienced professionals
  • For those people on the Training programme and the Mentoring course we will also pay for an Enhanced DBS, if it isn’t in place

(All young people on the courses and mentoring programme will receive a bursary of £150 a day)
