Artists for: The Arts on Referral Programme (Warwickshire)
Deadline: 28th March 2022 (12.00 noon)
Total commission fee £20,632: suitable for up to three individual artists or organisation/s.
Artists will be paid at a rate of £250 per day; £125 per 3hr course session; £150 per half day of training x 2 days. (Please note that being awarded this commission does not guarantee any work under the agreement as the participants who take part will choose the artform they wish to have in workshops).
Arts on Referral (AoR) artists work as a team that covers a variety of art form expertise.
Arts Connect is looking to engage up to three additional artists to work across Warwickshire, as part of our existing team, on the new and innovative Arts on Referral programmes commissioned by Warwickshire County Council and delivered in partnership with Barnardos.
There are two delivery programmes:
1. Children and young people (7-17 years), who are referred for mild to moderate mental health challenges, attend an arts course of 6 sessions (in/after school, weekends and/or holidays) to develop their interests in the arts and build their resilience, improve well-being through increased confidence and self-esteem, develop a sense of achievement, empowerment, social skills and positive behaviour changes.
2. Parents/Carers and Infants (0-2 years), including anti-natal activity. Parents/Carers will be referred as experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges and then attend, along with their infants (0-2 years), an arts course of 6 sessions (during the day) to boost wellbeing, reduce the risk of poor parental mental health outcomes, improve longer-term outcomes for children through the development of secure attachment relationships within the ‘Critical 1001 Days’ (conception to age 2)
We would like to recruit up to three artists to our existing team of five artists with art form expertise to include, but not limited to:
visual art (2D and 3D), including textiles and crafts; spoken word; drama; poetry; storytelling
