Arts Connect are looking to work with up to 8 West Midlands SEND schools who value the arts within their curriculum and would like to be part of a SEND Creative Schools Network. Each school will receive funding and support to embed Bronze Arts Award within their curriculum and be part of ‘We Create’ artist led project that will culminate in a collaborative public exhibition of student’s artwork.

Participants in the SEND Creative Schools Network will:

  • Access Bronze Arts Award training for one member of staff.
  • Receive £400 towards Arts Award costs and materials.
  • Receive support from an Arts Award expert.
  • Be part of the ‘We Create’ arts project which will include taking part in a free full day artist led workshop for a group of students
  • Be included in a public showcase of student’s artwork.
  • Have the opportunity to share experiences and learning with a SEND creative teacher network.
